We benchmark every provider against an independent mid-market reference rate — sourced from a third-party exchange-rate data provider, not from any money-transfer service we list. That way the “hidden markup” we show for each provider is measured against the real market rate, never against a competitor.

Wise is one of the providers we compare, shown on the same footing as everyone else — with its own rate, fee and markup. On some corridors we may earn an affiliate commission when you transfer with Wise; this never changes its ranking, which is computed purely from the rate and fee like every other provider.

The framing for users is what matters: we compare against the actual market rate, not against a competitor.

Every “Send via X” or “Send →” button on the comparison routes through our tracked redirect at /go/[provider]. We log the click, append our affiliate code, and forward you to the provider with all your selections preserved. The provider then handles the actual transfer.

Buttons we earn no commission on are visually identical — we don't boost paid links. The community pick badge (most-clicked provider this week) is computed strictly from clicks, not from commission size.
