Privacy Policy

RemitBeat is a remittance rate-comparison and referral service operated by Ficara Holdings LLC (“RemitBeat,” “we,” “us”). We help you compare money-transfer providers. We do not hold, handle, or transmit your funds, and we are not a bank or money-services business.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using RemitBeat, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information you provide to us
We collect information you choose to give us, including:
- Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter, create an account, or contact us.
- Phone number — when you verify a WhatsApp number to receive rate alerts. Stored in standardized (E.164) format.
- Messages — the content of any message, feedback, or support request you send us.
- Account preferences — such as your default send amount, corridor, and payout method.
2. Information we collect automatically
When you use the site, we collect limited technical and usage information to operate and improve the service:
- Usage data — pages and corridors viewed, comparisons run, and provider links clicked.
- Device and connection data — browser type, device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Analytics — we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Analytics and PostHog, which we run in cookieless mode) to understand aggregate usage. These set no cookies and do not store data on your device or identify you across sessions, and we do not use advertising trackers.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. The only cookies we set ourselves are strictly necessary ones that make the site work, and our analytics run without any cookies at all, so we do not show a cookie-consent banner for analytics. The cookies and storage involved are:
- Strictly necessary — authentication and session cookies (via Supabase) that keep you signed in. These are only set if you create an account, and are exempt from consent requirements.
- Analytics — none. PostHog runs in cookieless mode and Vercel Analytics is cookieless by design; neither stores a cookie or other data on your device, nor tracks you across sessions.
- Third-party (affiliate) — when you click a “Send via” button through to a provider, that provider or its affiliate network may set its own cookie on its own domain to attribute the referral. Those cookies are governed by the provider’s policies, not ours.
4. Your cookie choices
Because we set no analytics cookies, there is nothing to opt out of for analytics. You can still control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, though blocking the strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site — such as staying signed in — from working. For the full breakdown, see our Cookie Notice at remitbeat.com/legal/cookies.
5. How we use your information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the comparison tool and website.
- To send rate alerts, the newsletter, and service messages you have opted into.
- To respond to your questions, feedback, and support requests.
- To measure referrals to providers and understand which features are useful.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- To comply with legal obligations.
6. Affiliate links and provider websites
When you click through to a transfer provider, we may earn a commission. You pay the same as if you had gone to the provider directly. Once you leave RemitBeat, the provider’s own privacy policy and terms govern your interaction with them — we are not responsible for their practices. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:
- Service providers — vendors who host and power our platform, including hosting (Vercel), database and authentication (Supabase), caching (Upstash), email delivery (Resend), messaging (Twilio and Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API), and analytics (PostHog). They process data only on our instructions.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of RemitBeat and its users.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
8. Data retention
We keep account and contact information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Aggregate and usage data may be retained to operate and improve RemitBeat. You can ask us to delete your personal information at any time (see Your rights).
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. You can:
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email.
- Stop WhatsApp alerts by replying STOP or removing your number in settings.
- Request access to or deletion of your data by emailing us.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International data transfers
We operate globally and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate protection for international transfers.
12. Children’s privacy
RemitBeat is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may be communicated through the site or by email.
